Like right now. Just added the incomparable Amy's latest: "Les Amis des Magiciens". You take one ponderous French classic and one mindbogglingly popular children's fantasy series... and mix well.
Thursday, February 7, 2002, 09:19 p.m.
If something looked different when you came in, that's because it is. I've done over the front page -- actually, there are now two front pages; you are, or should be, automatically directed to one or the other depending on what browser you're using.
It's not the most elegant solution; but I cannot seem to get the page to look the way I want it in both Explorer and Netscape. One way looks spiffy in Explorer and lousy in Netscape, and the other... well, at least it's a bit less tacky than it did previously.
Feel free to drop me a line and let me know what you think of this. It's the first step in what will be a long, tedious process of trying to make the Index a little bit prettier and a lot easier to manage.
Ought to learn myself PHP or something, but who has the patience?
More updates soon.

I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates recently; I'm having some personal problems as well as ongoing chaos in the household. Also, I've been spending much of my time working on frenchboys.net, which I co-own with Ursula, and which is the new home of Le Jardin du Luxembourg along with the Christian Caron saga and the Global Clearinghouse. It also offers e-cards, free email, and a message board which I'd love for you all to visit, among other stuff.
I know some of you have been waiting a while to get stuff posted, and I'm sure you're all tired of waiting for the contest winners to be announced. I will do that by the end of this week.
I am debating whether to do away with the Reader's Choice poll, since this is the second time in as many contests that the poll has proven not to be cheat-proof, and that the results have been strangely lopsided. Mind you, this is not an accusation of anyone; I trust that none of you would pull something that low; but it is possible, and I'm not sure how to fix the poll so that it's not possible.
Anyway. Contest results by the end of this week. More updates ASAP. Promise. Meanwhile, go visit frenchboys.net, and particularly Le Jardin, where a new, improved version of Amy's "Grantaire" is currently being posted, among other goodness. Sign up for the message board. Love.
